Dono Bella – An Introduction

Of all the things I have learned and been told, my mother’s persistent suggestion “You can’t always change your circumstances, but you can change your attitude” is the one that stands out to me the most.  A seemingly simple idea it begs the question: How?  How can I change my attitude in challenging circumstances?  In a reward based society, with a mind constantly whirling, and the to-do list seemingly endless, how can we change our perspective enough to enjoy this life instead of simply surviving it?

The idea that there is something beyond our physical existence dates back to Aristotle.  The same man who introduced us to biology and physics also understood that not all physical conditions are within our control, but we do have something within us that we can work to preserve.  A good start would be adjusting our attitudes toward the words “control” and “work”.  Mainly this: When it comes to control, we have none.  When it comes to work, we must do it consistently.  Far from being hopeless, this knowledge can be incredibly freeing.

There are so many ways, both practical and spiritual, that we can work toward a more joyful life!  On my own path I have been exposed to countless books, blogs, classes, articles, trainings, podcasts, and conversations that I found extremely helpful.  Out of each one I learned and implemented the methods that resonated with me.  It is my hope and true pleasure, to share some of these tools with you so that you may use them on your path to more joyful living, sustaining a higher vibration, and enjoying this dono bella, beautiful gift, of life that you have chosen!

  1. I am curious to find out what blog system you’re using? I’m experiencing some minor security issues with my latest blog and I’d like to find something more safeguarded. Do you have any suggestions?
